After a half-century innings by G Trisha (52), the Indian women's team defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in the Under-19 Asia Cup on Sunday on the basis of excellent bowling by Aayushi Shukla (three wickets), Parunika Sisodia and Sonam Yadav (two wickets each).
In response to India's 117 runs, Bangladesh women's team had a very bad start and lost two wickets for 24 runs. Mosammat Ava (zero) and Sumayya Akhtar (eight) were out after scoring runs.
Bangladesh batsmen looked helpless in front of the Indian bowling attack. Apart from Fahmida Chhoya (18) and Zuairia Firdaus (22), no Bangladeshi batsman could reach double figures. Indian bowlers bowled out the entire Bangladesh team for 76 runs in 18.3 overs and won the match by 41 runs.
