Gabba Test ended in a draw, series currently tied at 1-1

The third Test played between the Indian cricket team and the Australian cricket team at Brisbane Cricket Ground ended in a draw. Chasing a target of 275 runs to win, when India scored 8/0 in their second innings, the match was declared a draw after the consent of both the captains. After 3 matches, the series is currently tied at 1-1. Australia scored 445 runs in the first innings thanks to centuries from Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101). In response, the Indian team scored 260 runs with the help of innings from KL Rahul (84) and Ravindra Jadeja (77). After this, the Australian team, which gained a strong lead, declared their second innings at 89/7. Eventually, the match ended in a draw during the fifth day amid rain interruptions.

During the first innings, Head scored the 9th century of his Test career and the third Test century against India. He was dismissed after scoring 152 runs with the help of 18 fours. Head was dismissed for 17 runs in his second innings. He has scored over 400 runs in the current series. He has scored 3,582 runs at an average of 44.22 in his Test career so far. He has scored 17 half-centuries apart from 9 centuries.

Head has played 13 Tests against the Indian cricket team, scoring 1,124 runs at an average of 51.09. Meanwhile, he has scored 3 centuries and 4 half-centuries to his name. He scored the last Test century against India before this series in the final of the World Test Championship 2021-23. His scores in the current Border-Gavaskar series are 11, 89, 140, 152 and 17 runs respectively.
