New Delhi: The Indian team for the Asia Cup 2023 has been announced. Rohit Sharma has been made the captain and Hardik Pandya the vice-captain in the team. On the Indian men's cricket team for the Asia Cup 2023, BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar announced the team and said that in the team Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (VC), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, MD Siraj, P Krishna and Sanju Samson

When asked about Shikhar Dhawan, BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar said, "At the moment, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are our favorite openers... Shikhar Dhawan has been a great player for India."

The Asian Cricket Council has revealed that the 2023 Asian Cup will be held from August 31 to September 17, 2023, with teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal participating in a total of 13 thrilling ODI contests. The tournament will be organized in a hybrid model, with four matches being played in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches being played in Sri Lanka.
